Many consider Forbie Kennedy the greatest NHL player ever produced on PEI—but to BGC Prince County, he’s much more than that. Forbie is the greatest friend and role model our Club has ever known.
Nobody represents hard work and dedication more than Forbie. His journey to the NHL continues to inspire thousands of Club members, showing that success comes not from shortcuts, but from grit, effort, and perseverance.

This scholarship, valued up to $1000, is awarded to a youth who has shown that same drive—whether through improvement in school, overcoming personal challenges, or staying committed to their goals, even when it’s tough.
