What the Tournament Supports
You won’t believe the difference you make!
Canadian Tire Breakfast Program
Breakfast is the most important meal of the day — yet 1 in 5 children in Canada head to school hungry.
We’re working to change that.
Our breakfast program offers a free, nutritious meal to our members each school day, followed by transportation to six local schools.
Atlantic Superstore After School Program
We use 15-passenger vans and buses to pick up Club members daily from six schools in Summerside and Miscouche. Youth are brought back to the Club, where they receive a healthy snack prepared by our staff.
After school, members can complete homework, create in the craft room, play in the gym, enjoy board games or cards, watch movies in our theatre, or visit the local park— all as part of our structured programming offered until 6 p.m., Monday to Friday. Participants also enjoy access to Credit Union Place for swimming, bowling, walking the track, and skating on the ice pad.
Summerside Auto Parts Project Backpack
Project BackPack is about helping those in our community who need it most.
Each month, we deliver nearly 6,000 meals to individuals and families in the Summerside area.
As the cost of living continues to rise, the need for this program grows — and we’re proud to be there when it matters most.
LifeHouse Emergency Shelter
LifeHouse is our emergency shelter dedicated to supporting women and women-led families in crisis. As the first shelter of its kind in the area, LifeHouse provides a safe, welcoming space with 24/7 staff support, private bedrooms, and access to essential services.
It offers more than just shelter — it’s a place where residents can access case management, life skills programming, housing support, and a pathway toward stability and independence. Our team works closely with each individual to ensure they have the tools and resources needed to rebuild their lives in a safe and supportive environment.
10 Unit Transitional Housing
Provides short-term, supportive accommodation for those in immediate need. Residents receive individualized case management, life skills support, and help securing permanent housing. This site also features a Skills and Employment Centre, where residents can access job training, resume support, and employment readiness programs to help prepare for long-term independence.
24 Unit Affordable Housing
Offers longer-term, income-based rental options for individuals and families who face financial barriers. This housing includes access to on-site supports, including a second Skills and Employment Centre, where tenants can develop skills, explore career opportunities, and work toward personal and financial goals.
LifeHouse Family Support Model
The LifeHouse Family Support Model is designed to provide wraparound care for women and women-led families facing homelessness or crisis. It offers safe, fully supported emergency shelter with 24/7 staff, private bedrooms with dedicated bathrooms, and a welcoming, family-friendly environment. Each family is welcomed into a respectful, trauma-informed space where their unique needs are prioritized. Support begins with meeting immediate needs and expands to include emotional care, connection to services, and personalized goal planning.
What sets LifeHouse apart is its strong focus on long-term stability and whole-family support. In addition to in-house case management, families receive help with housing applications, employment readiness, life skills, parenting supports, and more. Children staying at LifeHouse can attend programs at BGC Prince County, including our after-school programs and our new early years daycare. The model ensures access to education, child care, and community support—helping families rebuild and thrive. LifeHouse is rooted in the belief that with the right supports, every family can find a path forward.

Scholarships
At BGC Prince County, we believe in celebrating youth who lead with heart, work hard, and lift others up. Thanks to the generosity of our sponsors, families, and supporters, we’re proud to offer a number of annual scholarships to help young people take the next step toward their education and goals.
Whether you’ve shown leadership, overcome challenges, given back through volunteering, or inspired others by simply being yourself—we encourage you to apply.
We’re grateful to be able to offer these opportunities and honour the incredible individuals they’re named after. Your story matters, and we’d love to hear it.
